Are the extensions real human hair?
Yes — 100% Remy human hair from single donors, double-drawn so thickness runs root to tip. The cuticles are kept aligned in one direction, which prevents tangling and matting. As natural hair, slight variation in colour and texture is normal.
How long do hair extensions last?
With salon-grade hair and proper care, our extensions last 6–12 months of regular wear. Tape-ins are refitted every 6–8 weeks; K-tip bonds 2–3 months; hand-tied wefts are reused and moved up every 8–10 weeks.
Do you colour-match extensions to my hair?
Yes, free colour-matching is part of every consultation. Our stylists assess your base shade, tone and how light catches your ends, then select or custom-blend from our range — including balayage melts for a lived-in finish.

Can extensions damage my hair?
Fitted correctly, no. We use weight-matched, gentle methods (hand-tied wefts, flat tape-ins, keratin K-tips) and never overload fine hair. Professional fitting plus our care routine keeps natural hair healthy.
What is a bespoke hair topper?
A hand-knotted, single-donor topper built from scratch for volume or coverage at the crown. Lightweight and undetectable, each takes 4–6 weeks to craft and is priced by length, density and base size.
What aftercare products should I use?
Use sulphate-free shampoo 2–3 times a week, condition from mid-lengths down, keep heat tools on medium with a protectant, and braid hair loosely before bed — ideally on a silk pillowcase.
Can I wash and style extensions like normal hair?
Yes. Because it's 100% Remy human hair you can wash, curl, straighten and colour it — always with heat protectant and sulphate-free products, and avoid oil-based products near bonds or tapes.
How long does hair extension application take?
Tape-ins take 60–90 minutes for a full head, hand-tied wefts about 1.5–2 hours, and K-tip or I-tip strand methods 2–3 hours. We confirm your exact appointment length at the free consultation.
How often should I book extension maintenance?
Tape-ins are refitted every 6–8 weeks, hand-tied wefts every 8–10 weeks, and keratin bonds are checked at 6 weeks with a 2–3 month wear cycle. Our maintenance menu includes refits, encapsulation and bond care.
Do you maintain extensions that were not bought from Crystal?
Yes — book extension maintenance on WhatsApp and tell us which method you wear. We will assess the hair honestly and quote before any work starts.
Can you colour or treat my hair while I wear extensions?
Yes. Our salon offers full colour, balayage, toners and treatments (keratin, botox, Olaplex/K18 and more) — we work around bonds and tapes carefully and use extension-safe formulas.
